The vehicles are 2-seater 2018 CAN-AM Maverick Trails, so Adam could drive while I enjoyed the scenery and took pictures. It was beautiful out there surrounded by mountains, saguaro cacti, and lake views – sometimes I forget how pretty the desert can be.
We made one stop halfway through to enjoy the views of Saguaro Lake, stretch and drink some water. You can switch drivers at that time too, but I let Adam do all of the driving since it was his birthday and he was so into it. It was such a fun way to celebrate his birthday and ended up being the perfect present.
If you are interested in going on your own off-road adventure my only recommendation would be to use the bathroom before you get out there! There’s no bathrooms anywhere near the trails and it’s in basically the middle of nowhere so there’s no nearby gas station or rest stop. Oh, and prepare to get dusty af!
Location: Highway 87 and Four Peaks Road (Northeast of Scottsdale/Phoenix)
Price: $300 ($150 per person double occupancy); $200 per person single occupancy

We drove by the Saguaro forest on our way to the Mayo Clinic for what turned out to be a bad health diagnosis for me. As we drove home and passed it again, I thought that the cacti looked like they were sticking the middle fingers up. I laughed and said, "That's what I'm going to do to my disease." LOL!! THanks for the memory!
